Part‑Time Associate Veterinarian - Merritt Island Location Island Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, motivated Part‑Time Associate Veterinarian to join our Merritt Island team. About the Role This position offers flexible scheduling, ranging from one weekend rotation per month up to 8 shifts per month, depending on your availability. Compensation is paid per diem.

Shifts generally consist of:

Wellness and preventative care appointments Urgent care cases (non‑critical) Light surgical procedures (basic surgical competency required) What You'll Do Provide high‑quality medical care with a focus on communication, client education, and patient comfort Perform wellness exams, sick visits, and some urgent care evaluations Conduct minor surgical procedures as needed Collaborate with our experienced support staff to ensure smooth, efficient workflow Maintain thorough, accurate medical records Uphold our hospital's standards for patient care, safety, client service, and AHHA standards What We're Looking For Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree Active Florida veterinary license Strong clinical skills in general practice and basic surgery Excellent communication and client‑service mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive, professional attitude aligned with our hospital culture
