Position Overview As an Emergency Veterinarian at Greenlight Pet ER, you will provide timely, compassionate, and high-quality medical care to dogs and cats experiencing urgent and critical conditions. You will work alongside veterinary technicians, support staff, and hospital leadership in a fast-paced and collaborative clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Examine, diagnose, and treat dogs and cats presenting with urgent or emergency medical conditions Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans Stabilize and monitor critically ill or injured patients Perform emergency medical procedures and surgical interventions when necessary Use available diagnostic resources to evaluate and treat patients Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide efficient, high-quality care Communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognoses, and aftercare instructions clearly and compassionately to pet owners Maintain complete and accurate medical records in accordance with legal, ethical, and hospital standards Stay current with developments and best practices in emergency veterinary medicine Contribute to a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented hospital culture Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent Valid veterinary license—or eligibility to obtain one—in Florida or Texas, depending on the selected location Emergency veterinary experience is preferred but not required Strong clinical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to providing compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, support staff, and hospital leadership Experienced emergency veterinarians, general-practice veterinarians interested in transitioning into emergency medicine, and qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
