Job Description

Associate Veterinarian (DVM) — $150,000-$180,000+ FTE | 3-5 Days, You Build the Schedule | Privately Owned, Pembroke Pines We're a privately owned small animal practice in Pembroke Pines. Our medical director is a practicing DVM who co-owns the clinic and works the floor alongside you most days, so medical decisions get made by a doctor you can walk ten feet to talk to, not a regional office. Who we are, and who we're looking for We're progressive, tech-forward, and evidence-based. We strive to provide a fun, low stress environment for both our patients and staff. We use Fear Free techniques and value connection over running a tight schedule. We want someone who gets excited about handing out cute bandanas, doing fun tiktoks and the occasional photo booth pic with a puppy/kitten! The role Experienced DVM preferred; exceptional early-career DVMs considered, with mentorship from our medical director Full-time or part-time, 3 to 5 days per week. We build the schedule around your life, not the other way around. Surgery and dentistry days available and encouraged if that's your strength Our caseload runs roughly 85% canine with a growing feline population, mostly wellness, sick visits, and preventive care, with room to add surgical and dental volume You'll often have a second doctor on the floor with you, so you're not contemplating a complicated workup alone Want a mentor and a team invested in your growth? We have that. Want autonomy and a hands-off environment where you just practice good medicine? We have that too. W-2 with a committed recurring schedule. This is not relief work; it's a home. Our caseload has room to grow, so you build your own client base instead of inheriting someone's backlog. Compensation, structured your way $150,000-$180,000+ full-time equivalent depending on experience, schedule, and surgical caseload Our planned structure is a guaranteed base plus a production bonus above threshold, paid monthly, with no negative accrual and no clawbacks. Prefer a straight salary or a different model? We're open; tell us what works for your life. Paid time off Retirement plan with employer match Monthly health premium contribution Paid CE days, and we send you to VMX or a conference of your choice each year, expenses covered In-house ultrasound training available if you want to build that skill FL license, DEA registration, and USDA accreditation covered Scrubs, jackets, and white coats provided At-cost care for your own pets The environment 4-6 technicians and assistants supporting each doctor, plus a full front-desk team of up to 3. You practice medicine; we handle the rest.
Fully digital:
in-house lab, digital radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasound, iPads in every room, and an in-room AI scribe so records don't follow you home. We use a very intuitive Idexx cloud based software and results sync automatically. You'll get real visibility into your own numbers, production, caseload, client retention, because we think doctors deserve to see how their practice is growing. What you won't get is corporate quotas or upsell targets attached to them. Direct input on equipment, protocols, and formulary. If you want it and can justify it, we buy it. A team that actually likes each other: staff events, holiday parties, long tenure Open to a buy-in/ownership conversation for the right long-term fit Current hours Monday-Saturday. Exploring expanded evening and weekend hours down the road, at premium pay, only for doctors who want those shifts. What we want FL-licensed DVM (or eligible) who can work independently Confident with routine surgery and dentistry, or a dedicated surgery-day doc USDA Category I accreditation preferred, or we'll get you accredited Someone who talks to clients like people The process: 15-minute phone call, in-person meet with the team, then a paid working interview so you can see if you like us before committing. Apply here or send your resume to jordy@yourpetsvets.com with subject "DVM - [Your Name]" and tell us: what does your ideal week look like, and what kind of medicine do you want to be doing in 3 years?
