Animal Hospital (BVAH) is a small animal practice seeking PT, Seasonal, or Temporary Veterinarian(s) for our quickly growing hospital, in beautiful Sanford, Florida. We are looking for someone with ideally 2+ years experience within the veterinary field prior to veterinary school (i.e. previous veterinary assistant/technician, client service representative, kennel attendant, etc.), is self- motivated, detail oriented and dedicated to providing quality care to our patients with great customer service skills. Applicant is ideally driven and a team player that wants to build a strong and long-term foundation within a veterinary setting that always strives to improve upon their skill set level and at the same time is willing to share their skills and medical talents with other staff members in a positive and fun manner. Because of this we are looking for a personable, plus highly professional and technically proficient veterinarian to join us in delivering such things on a daily basis. The associate veterinarian is the "back bone of the entire hospital" for other staff and more importantly for every client and patient. This position assists in setting the "Quality over Quality" tone for the practice, as we build and maintain each owner's/pet's trust and confidence in our abilities and services. Preference to hire someone with small animal surgical, dental, emergency, and/or exotic experience/competency, even if at just a basic skill level; but not a requirement. Specific Job Requirements of an Associate Veterinarian include, but not limited to:  Have a good standing DVM License, ideally already in the state of FL.  The overall purpose of this position is to maintain animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries in a quality and proficient manner.  Managing medical records, charts, reports, correspondence/communications, etc.  To be able to demonstrate a basic surgical desire, knowledge and skill set.  The ability to practice proficient technique plus medicine and offer empathy/compassion for pets and their owners.  Providing quality and compassionate medical care to all of our patients, including for medically boarded and hospitalized patients.  Plus, other routine day-to-day veterinarian tasks, as needed.  Knowledge of AviMark and being bilingual is a plus, but not a requirement.
