Relief Veterinarian (Small Animal General Practice) - 1 Day/Week + Additional Days When Needs/Availability Align! We are seeking a compassionate, confident Relief Veterinarian to join our privately owned small animal general practice for one day per week . Our ideal schedule is Wednesdays or Thursdays , though we are happy to be flexible for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, team-oriented environment with experienced staff. Schedule One day per week
Preferred:
Wednesday or Thursday (flexible) 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM One-hour lunch break About the Practice Privately owned, full-service small animal hospital Dogs and cats only (no exotics) In-house digital radiography In-house ultrasound In-house laboratory equipment for same-day diagnostics Modern, well-trained support staff Surgery opportunities available if desired, but not required What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will: Be comfortable serving as the sole veterinarian on duty Delegate appropriately to a skilled and capable support team Work efficiently with 30-minute appointment slots Confidently manage a variety of cases, including wellness visits, sick appointments, and urgent/emergency cases Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, with an emphasis on education and thorough care Enjoy working in a collaborative, positive practice culture Requirements Active Georgia Veterinary License DEA registration Professional liability insurance Ability to practice independently Compensation $800-$1,000 per day, depending on experience, efficiency, and skill set. Start Date Flexible. We anticipate a start date anytime between September 1 and January 1 , depending on the availability of both the selected veterinarian and the practice.
