Role Description We are seeking someone for part-time, but will consider full-time, on-site role based in Marietta, GA, responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to companion animals. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing physical exams, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and overseeing preventive care such as vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness screenings. The role involves performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and carrying out minor surgical and dental procedures. We have full in-house labs, x-ray (both full body and dental), ultrasound, separate surgical and dental suites, and 3 exam rooms. Communication is key for us at My Best Friend's Vet. Additional duties include maintaining accurate medical records, supporting practice protocols, and participating in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility for Georgia veterinary licensure. Clinical skills in small animal medicine, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and routine surgery and dentistry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for explaining medical information, building client trust, and collaborating with the veterinary team. Commitment to animal welfare, fear-free or low-stress handling techniques, and compassionate end-of-life care. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize cases, and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment. Comfort with medical record-keeping and practice management software; basic computer literacy. Willingness to participate in continuing education, stay current with veterinary best practices, and follow clinic protocols and guidelines. Experience in a small animal practice setting is preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills and a growth mindset are welcome to apply.

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
