Relief Veterinarian | Chatham County, Georgia We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, full-service GP small animal hospital in Savannah that is looking for a dependable Relief Veterinarian to join their team on an ongoing basis. This established hospital is supported by a strong technician team and offers a genuinely well-supported environment for general practice, with 3-4 technicians per doctor ensuring you're never stretched thin. The hospital has an immediate need for October coverage, with ongoing relief needs expected through November and December, and is looking for a skilled GP vet who can slot comfortably into a busy, appointment-based schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants the flexibility of relief work without sacrificing quality support, working alongside an experienced team rather than in an under-resourced setting. Appointments run on a structured 30-minute schedule and are never double-booked, giving you the time to practice thorough, unhurried medicine. A generous two-hour midday break (split between admin time and lunch) is built into every shift. The role will involve a mixed caseload of wellness and sick appointments, with no surgical expectations, so you can focus purely on medicine and client communication. You will not be expected to work solo initially; the hospital wants relief vets to feel properly supported and settled in as they learn the systems and team.

About You:

DVM or VMD (or equivalent) from an AVMA accredited university You hold or are eligible for an active Georgia veterinary license Comfortable managing a general wellness and sick caseload Confident working alongside a supportive, established technician team Strong communication skills and a friendly, thorough approach with clients Previous relief experience is beneficial, although vets new to relief work are encouraged to enquire
