Our small, rural practice has a family feel, so you'll find our support staff is available to assist doctors in whatever manner you prefer. We treat dogs and cats, but welcome any species that can be trailer into our facility (no farm calls!) Our patients deserve the best care available, and to do that we treat our patients inhouse for exams, surgery, and labwork; then can refer more complex cases to our sister practice in nearby Marion IL where they have more expansive diagnostic equipment. If you have an interest in providing quality medicine to small and large animals in a more rural community, we'd love to talk with you! Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end of life care. Maintain patients' medical records. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure.
