The Role Provide comprehensive small animal general practice care Deliver preventative and wellness medicine Perform dentistry and routine soft-tissue surgery Utilise in-house diagnostics and imaging to support efficient case workups Develop practical, individualised treatment plans using a spectrum-of-care approach Manage a varied, high-volume caseload with strong technician support Typical caseload of approximately 16-18 patients per DVM Work alongside approximately 2-3 technicians per veterinarian Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care Build long-term relationships with patients and their families Collaborate closely with the medical and leadership teams Participate in hospital initiatives and quality improvement Share Saturday coverage as part of a rotating schedule Benefit from flexible scheduling and extended weekday options Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification Michigan veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain Eligibility to work in the United States Strong surgical skills and confidence within general practice Comfortable managing a busy and varied caseload Excellent client communication and education skills Team-oriented approach with a commitment to collaborative care Interest in community-focused veterinary medicine #
