on-site role based at Imperial Animal Hospital in Imperial, MO. This position involves performing examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing preventive care such as vaccinations and wellness checks. The Associate Veterinarian will conduct surgeries and dental procedures as appropriate, interpret diagnostic tests, and maintain detailed medical records. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care, collaborating with technicians and support staff, and adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards. The role also includes participating in case discussions, contributing to practice improvement initiatives, and supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility for Missouri veterinary licensure. Experience in small animal clinical practice, including routine exams, internal medicine, and preventive care. Proficiency in common surgical and dental procedures, with a commitment to safe anesthesia and pain management practices. Strong diagnostic skills, including the ability to interpret laboratory tests, radiographs, and other imaging results. Clear, empathetic communication skills for interacting with clients and collaborating with veterinary team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritize cases, and maintain accurate medical records. Commitment to evidence-based medicine, continuing education, and staying current with advances in veterinary care. Demonstrated reliability, professional integrity, and respect for diverse clients, coworkers, and community members.
