Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing y care for animals, assisting veterinarians in diagnosing and treating various conditions. This position requires experience in knowing the range of services a practice provides and the various species we treat. Must have a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and the ability to perform various clinical tasks efficiently. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct X-rays and maintain imaging equipment. Provide animal restraint during examinations and treatments. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including grooming and training tips. Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the clinic or hospital setting. Document patient information accurately in medical records. Requirements Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is essential. Experience with X-ray technology is a plus. Basic knowledge of animal science, medicine including pharmacology and mathematical skills to ensure administration of accurate drug and fluid doses. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. A commitment to providing compassionate care to all animals. Willing to fill in as needed in various roles in the clinical setting.
