Job Summary Northwoods Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal hospital located in Cary, NC. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine, passion for animal welfare. with at least 4 years of experience with general practice and surgeries. As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing high-quality care to pets, and collaborating with pet owners to ensure the best outcomes for their animals. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of pets to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as needed. Perform surgical procedures with precision and care. Provide emergency care and critical interventions for injured or ill animals. Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with staff and pet owners. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments administered. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities. Skills Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during examinations and procedures. Strong background in veterinary experience, including knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices to promote optimal health and welfare. Understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during surgical procedures. Laboratory experience for conducting diagnostic tests is beneficial. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients regarding pet care.
