A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description

Etowah Valley Veterinary Hospital is the ideal place to work while experiencing the quality of life Western North Carolina has to offer. Our hospital is located minutes from Asheville, Brevard, and Hendersonville. We are a full service, small animal hospital focused on providing exceptional patient care and client services. We are looking for a full time or part time Veterinary Technician or assistant to join an outstanding team of professionals, all applicants will be considered. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sample collection, IV catheter placement, anesthesia/surgical experience, safe restraint techniques, proficient client communication and education, assisting doctors with exams and additional needs, and some vaccine administration
