Job Description

Associate Veterinarian — Clifton, NJ Snoots was built on a simple belief: pet care should be affordable, accessible, and genuinely good. In the UK, we've grown quickly by challenging the traditional veterinary model. We built a membership-based system focused on unlimited primary care, preventative medicine, and long-term relationships - not transactional visits. In a short period of time, our clinics have reached scale, strong profitability, and thousands of loyal members who rely on us as their pet's medical home. Now we're bringing Snoots to the United States - and Clifton, NJ is our first US clinic. The Opportunity This is a rare chance to join a clinic at the very start, and join the founding clinical team. As an Associate Veterinarian, you'll practise alongside our Founding Veterinarian and help bring the Snoots model to life in the
US:
unlimited primary care, real continuity, and medicine built around long-term outcomes rather than one-off visits. You'll work within a small, tight-knit team with direct access to our Founding Vet and to our Chief Vet, Dr. Rachel Harris. You won't be a number in a large rota - your judgement, ideas, and standards will help define how this clinic practises from day one. If you want to do great medicine in a model that actually supports it, this is that opportunity. Our Mission We exist to make pet care affordable. Too many pets receive delayed or declined care because of cost. We believe that's a systems problem — not a client problem. Our model aligns incentives around prevention, continuity, and long-term outcomes.
We focus on:
Proactive, relationship-based primary care Clear communication and transparency Thoughtful use of diagnostics and treatment plans Removing financial friction wherever possible We are building a practice where saying "yes" to care is easier than saying "no." What You'll Do Practise Great Medicine Deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care Manage your own caseload with genuine continuity Champion preventative care and long-term case management Work to the clinical standards set with our Founding Vet. Be Part of the Team Collaborate closely with the Founding Vet on protocols and pathways Support and mentor our nurses and support staff Help build a clinic culture that is calm, kind, and rigorous Grow With Us Share feedback on workflows, services, and the member experience Develop your skills with our continuing education support Grow into broader scope and responsibility as Snoots US expands Who You Are A DVM licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New Jersey 2+ years of clinical experience Mission-driven — you care deeply about access to care A clear communicator with both clients and teammates Calm under pressure, generous with feedback, high standards for medicine Comfortable with change, iteration, and a build-as-we-go environment You don't need corporate or startup experience. You do need to care about doing medicine well, in a model designed to let you do exactly that. Why This Role Is Different Join a brand-new US clinic as part of the founding team Direct access to the Founding Vet and Chief Vet A care model that removes financial friction between you and your patients Real room to grow as we expand across the US Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary & other benefits to be discussed The chance to grow into broader scope as we expand If you believe veterinary medicine can be better — more accessible, more preventative, more aligned with families — we'd love to talk. Come build it with us.
