A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Office:
CFCS- Immigration For over 75 years, Catholic Family and Community Services, has provided at little or no cost, a full spectrum of services to individuals who are oppressed, families who are in crisis and communities who are disenfranchised.
- Immigration Legal Services Schedule per week: Part Time 28 Hours
- Monday
- Friday between the hours of 9:00am
- 3:00pm.

Paterson, NJJob Summary:
Works under supervision of experienced attorney. Must function independently in servicing our clients of limited means with their immigration petitions and problems, including:- Adjustments of Status, I-485 Form;
- Employment Authorizations, I-765;
- Renewal/ Replacement of LPR Cards, I-90;
- Citizenship, N-400;
- DACA Renewals, I-821-D; and
- Support to attorney for Removal Proceedings appearances in Immigration Court
- Extensive client contact, eliciting of facts for sworn statements, obtaining details for the preparation of above-mentioned, and other, USCIS (ie, immigration agency) forms.
- Dedication to public service and Legal Services for persons of finite means and equity in implementation immigration law and policies
- Organization Sponsorship for representative accreditation possible
