A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Job Description
We are working on behalf of an independently owned emergency hospital in Wayne, NJ that is seeking additional veterinarians to join its fast-growing team. Opened in 2024, this hospital was built to bridge the gap between general practice and specialty-level emergency care, delivering advanced services at a more accessible price point for the local community. The practice has grown quickly, expanding from just four staff members at launch to a thriving team of 20+, including several experienced ER doctors, anesthesia-trained technicians, and a practice manager with over 20 years of specialty and emergency experience. With strong retention, a genuinely collaborative culture, and mentorship readily available, this is an environment where doctors can flourish whether they are seasoned in emergency medicine or newer graduates eager to learn. You will have access to the same technology you would expect in a specialty setting, including vessel sealers, electrocautery, endoscopy, oxygen cages, Schneider units, ultrasound, and digital radiography. A second locations has recently opened as a result of their continued success, which mirrors the first location in terms of facility's and capabilities. Cases are primarily canine and feline, spanning a wide range of emergency medical and surgical presentations, and mentorship is built into the role, including direct surgical training for those who want to develop further. Days, nights, and swing shifts are available, though you must be open to at least some night shifts.
