Job Description

Veterinarian - flexible hours/schedule Community PetCare Clinic - 5.0 Toledo, OH Job Details Full-time Up to $130,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Relocation assistance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Direct patient care Community engagement experience Companion animal medicine Communication with pet owners Patient treatment Full Job Description The mission of Community Pet Care Clinic (CPCC) in Toledo, Ohio is to: Remove barriers to accessing veterinary care for our clients and their pets within a sustainable business model that also creates a humane workplace environment intended to keep talented veterinary staff in their chosen profession. We're proving our mission works! Here's how we keep your dream alive of being a veterinarian who can help all the animals who need your care: Choose a schedule that works for you! choose 5-day (8 hours) or 4- day (10 hours and pick your day off). Need part time? We can do that too. No weekends, nights or emergencies. Because we are an independently owned practice, we can support your practice preferences and ideas that you are passionate about. Have you always wanted to learn a new skill, such as how to do dentals or orthopedic surgery? If so, we will assist you to get that extra training. Do you love to help rescues or shelter pets? Then we will work to make that happen. We promote relationship-centered care rather than meeting production goals. This means we value shared decision-making with our clients. The best treatment plan is the one that meets their physical, emotional, and financial needs, not necessarily the gold standard plan. We have trained support staff who use their skills to their fullest so you can use yours to your fullest. There are NO non-compete contracts! We supply the equipment you need to provide quality patient care and communication like an ultrasound, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, two-way texting, automatic medical notes, and a cloud-based, paper-lite software system. You will get to eat lunch for 30-minutes. For real. Not chewing while doing your callbacks. We schedule 30-minute appointments that are a mixture of cases rather than just back-to-back ill pets to work up. You'll get out on time (at 6pm) because we allow for time to see appointments as well as to write up your records and do your call backs. In our practice, you won't have to turn pets away, see them go without care, or make people relinquish or euthanize their pets for economic reasons. This is because we make it possible for pet families to afford our treatment plans by offering a multitude of payment support options, not by discounting or giving away our services. And best of all, you won't be the one who has to have any of the financial conversations with clients! We maintain a Keeping Pets and People Together Fund where we deposit $1 from every healthy-pet exam. When faced with a client in financial need, the veterinary care team can choose to spend these funds to help a pet get needed care. We find that having access to such funds can reduce veterinary team stress around difficult conversations about the costs of care. We encourage and support you to show your compassionate side by participating in community-outreach events for underserved neighborhoods or spay days. Not during your days off, but during the regular work day so you can provide access to veterinary care. You have the opportunity to become a partner without a large buy-in. If you've ever wanted to own your own practice but were concerned about going further into debt, we've got options for you!
