Emergency Veterinarian - Weekend Overnight / Rotating ER Schedule Bark City Veterinary Specialists Bark City Veterinary Specialists Position Overview Bark City Veterinary Specialists is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Emergency Veterinarian to join our growing emergency and specialty hospital. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys emergency medicine, collaborative case management, and practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive environment.
We are currently hiring for:
Weekend Overnight ER Coverage Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12 hour shifts OR Flexible Rotating Schedule with the possibility of alternating days and nights every other week.

This role offers the opportunity to help shape and grow emergency services while working alongside an experienced and collaborative team. Teamwork and communication High medical standards Work-life balance Mentorship and professional growth Compassionate patient and client care Responsibilities Provide emergency and urgent care services for small animal patients including common emergency surgeries such as Pyometra surgery, GDV, foreign body, c-section, etc. Perform diagnostics, treatment planning, and emergency procedures Collaborate with specialty and support teams to provide comprehensive care Maintain accurate and timely medical records Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians Participate in the continued growth and development of emergency services Schedule Options We are open to discussing scheduling structures that support both hospital needs and veterinarian well-being, including: Weekend overnight shifts Every-other-week rotating day/night schedules Can grow into alternating weekdays/weekends as we expand Flexible scheduling opportunities for the right candidate Qualifications DVM or equivalent degree Has or is eligible for veterinary licensure in Utah Internship training or ER experience preferred, but motivated candidates are encouraged to apply Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package that may include: Competitive base salary and/or production opportunities CE allowance Professional dues and licensing support PTO Health insurance options Employee pet discounts Flexible scheduling considerations Growth and leadership opportunities as emergency services expand Why Join Bark City?
