A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

PSVS places a high value on its employees and provides an environment that is supportive and culture focused. We strive for excellence in medicine and patient care. We provide referral and emergency services to much of the Gig Harbor/Tacoma area. Our specialties include Surgery, Neurology, Oncology and Internal Medicine. The fully equipped and staffed ER and ICU will help you to manage all your cases to the highest standard. Our ideal candidate is collaborative, self-motivated, enjoys community outreach and is willing to promote and maintain an outstanding hospital culture. We have daily case rounds each morning to provide an opportunity for continuous learning as well as regular continuing education offerings. The support staff are highly trained and enthusiastic about continuing education as well. This position offers clinicians a unique opportunity to work in a growing, well-equipped, state-of-the-art facility, side-by-side with a skilled group of specialists and ER colleagues.
