At Toptails Vet, we are all about making sure our staff and our furry friends feel right at home during vet visits. We know that going to the vet can be stressful, and that's why we're dedicated to creating an environment that is comfortable and calming for everyone. We've even set up our exam rooms as playful spaces to make them more fun and less intimidating for pets. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Relief Veterinarian to join our team every Tuesday & Thursday As a Relief Veterinarian you will play a crucial role in providing surgical and exam/consultation services to our patients while maintaining our commitment to compassionate, thorough care. This position offers the flexibility of working only two days per week, allowing you to balance your schedule while making a meaningful impact in the lives of animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform surgical procedures on small animal patients with precision and care. Conduct thorough examinations and consultations, prescribing medications and treatments appropriate to the patient's symptoms/needs. Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care to ensure the well-being of surgical patients. Collaborate with our veterinary team to develop surgical plans and provide recommendations for patient care. Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance and support throughout the surgical/consultation process. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Board certification or significant experience in veterinary surgery. Strong surgical skills and proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Current licensure and accreditation in the state of Washington.
