A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description

We are working with a well established, AAHA accredited small animal hospital in Spokane, WA that is looking to add an Associate Veterinarian to its team. This is a busy, multi doctor practice equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, dental radiography, and a dedicated dental suite. The hospital has been Fear Free certified since 2022 and places real emphasis on creating a calm, low stress environment for both patients and staff. Students and new graduates are welcomed and given dedicated mentorship, while experienced doctors are supported with the resources and team structure to practice confident, thorough medicine. The team primarily sees dogs and cats, with the option to grow an exotics caseload for anyone interested in building that side of the practice. There is also potential for this role to develop into a Medical Director position for the right candidate interested in a leadership path. With a full time schedule, Monday through Friday daytime hours, and a supportive, collaborative culture, this is a strong opportunity for a doctor who wants to build a long term career in a well resourced hospital.

About You:
DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university Licensure in good standing to practice in Washington state, or the ability to obtain it Committed to practicing high quality, ethical medicine Comfortable working as part of a collaborative, team based practice Open to mentoring or being mentored, depending on your experience level Interested in long term growth, including potential leadership opportunities
