Job Description

Milwaukee Walk-In Veterinary Clinic (MWVC) is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian with 3-5 years of experience , including urgent care and surgery , to join our busy, independently owned practice.

We are a high-volume walk-in/urgent care clinic serving the community with practical, efficient veterinary medicine. This role is ideal for a confident veterinarian who enjoys autonomy, variety, and real-world cases. The salary listed is the base salary plus 20-22% Production Duties Conduct thorough examinations of small animals, including dogs, cats, utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Diagnose medical conditions through clinical assessments, laboratory tests, and imaging procedures; implement appropriate treatment plans. Perform surgical procedures such as spaying, neutering, wound repairs, and other soft tissue surgeries with precision and aseptic technique. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments while ensuring proper animal restraint and handling techniques to guarantee safety for both animals and staff. Provide pet care guidance to owners on topics like nutrition, grooming, behavior, and preventive health measures. Assist with emergency cases requiring veterinary critical care experience by stabilizing patients and coordinating further treatment. Maintain detailed medical records accurately reflecting diagnoses, treatments, laboratory results, and follow-up care. Skills Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in small animal medicine and surgery. Knowledge of veterinary terminology related to diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures. Ability to manage emergency situations confidently using veterinary critical care experience when needed.
