As we grow our team, we are looking for a Daytime Urgent Care & Emergency Veterinarian who is confident, compassionate, and excited by the opportunity to help shape a new practice from the ground up. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys the variety and fast pace of urgent and emergency cases but wants to work primarily during the daytime, without the demands of a traditional overnight emergency schedule. The Opportunity As our Daytime Urgent Care & Emergency Veterinarian, you will evaluate and treat patients presenting with urgent medical needs, injuries, and emergency conditions. You will have access to the support, equipment, and team needed to provide high-quality medicine while working collaboratively with our primary-care veterinarians.

Cases may include:

Acute illness, vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration Respiratory distress and other urgent medical conditions Wounds, lacerations, and trauma Toxicities and potential poisonings Urinary obstruction and other painful conditions Ophthalmic and dermatologic emergencies Seizures and neurologic presentations Fractures and other injuries Stabilization and management of critical patients Other same-day urgent and emergency presentations You will also have the opportunity to determine when a patient requires referral or hospitalization and work closely with specialty and referral hospitals when appropriate. What We're Looking For We are seeking a veterinarian who is: Active DVM license in West Virginia Experienced in urgent care, emergency medicine, general practice, or a combination of these Comfortable evaluating patients with a wide variety of acute presentations Confident with emergency stabilization and critical decision-making An excellent communicator with clients and colleagues Compassionate, calm, and adaptable in stressful situations Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek additional support Committed to practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine Excited about being part of a new practice and helping establish its culture Emergency or urgent-care experience is preferred, but we are also interested in experienced general-practice veterinarians who want to transition into daytime urgent care.
