Job Description

Job Summary Banisters Leadership Academy (BLA) is a leading statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating youth leadership through engaging, skill-based activities grounded in the 12 Pillars of Leadership framework. The Healthy Kids Movement (HKM) program is facilitated by qualified professionals, including school counselors, social workers, and contracted provisionally and fully licensed mental health providers. Program delivery varies by county and may take place after school, on weekday evenings, or during weekend afternoons or evenings. HKM facilitators serve in a part-time, independent contractor (1099) capacity, with a flexible schedule requiring minimal time commitment—typically one to two sessions per month, with each session lasting up to 1.5 hours including preparation. The role includes completion of a contract and onboarding process. By partnering with BLA, you will align with an organization recognized for its commitment to leadership development and innovative programming. We invite you to join us in empowering youth and strengthening families across the state. Responsibilities Prepare a 30-minute discussion and interactive activity centered on the selected leadership pillar, incorporating a social and emotional learning perspective. Submit all prepared materials for prior review and approval. Adhere to all program expectations, including appropriate appearance, positive attitude, and punctuality. Take and submit attendance records for each session. Provide a brief post-session summary as required. Submit invoices in accordance with established guidelines. Skills Demonstrate the ability to build trust and establish strong rapport with youth participants.
