Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Rogers Cartage Company is hiring an experienced Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our Mobile, AL terminal. This is a full-time, hourly role with strong benefits and growth potential. What You'll Do Perform maintenance and repairs on tractors, semi-trailers, and pneumatic tanks Diagnose and fix brakes, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance issues (PMs) Assist with engine diagnostics ( a plus ) Complete standard trailer repairs and routine inspections Use basic computer systems for diagnostics and reporting Full time schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift with some weekends What We're Looking For You must provide your own tools and have reliable transportation Basic computer skills, required Must hold a valid driver's license - CDL License incentivized Must be able to navigate Tech Tool, Davie 4 and Bendix software Must be able to perform overheads on Volvo, Mack and Paccar engines Must be able to perform diagnostics without supervision Must be able to perform routine maintenance inspections along with changing wheel seals, brakes ect Must be able to mount and dismount tires (tractor and trailer tires) Must be able to rotate on call phone Experience with Disc Brakes Experience with electrical and air brake systems (must be proficient with a multi-meter) Experience with APU units a plus Air Conditioning Recovery Cert a plus Welding experience incentivized ASE Certificates incentivized What You'll Get Competitive hourly pay (starting at $30.41/hr., based on experience and certifications) Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance after 30 days of employment 401(k) with company match Paid vacation Join a company with 90+ years in transportation and a focus on safety, reliability, and career growth.
