Diesel Technician Duties (not limited to): Diagnose and repair failures for vocational trucks including diesel engine/chassis and platform diagnostics (mixer, waste packing, dump, pump, etc.). Perform routine maintenance (PM's) on diesel-powered equipment to ensure optimal performance Ensure all vehicles are compliant with DOT regulations by conducting routine inspections and keeping organized records Fabricate parts as needed to complete repairs or modifications. Conduct tire service and replacement for heavy-duty trucks. Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment. Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on industrial equipment. Qualifications Proven experience (7+ years) as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems. Proven experience (7+ years) with vocation truck fleets, specifically ReadyMix trucks, Refuse/Waste, and/or Construction (dump, pump, flatbeds, etc.). Proficient in using power tools and diagnostic equipment for mechanical repairs. Ability to fabricate parts when necessary for repairs or modifications. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to transmit technical information clearly. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Valid driver's license is required; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is a day shift (Monday - Friday) position that will provide an opportunity for 40+ hours weekly (overtime not guaranteed); however, this position is also required to respond to occasional road calls/emergency service outside of your normal shift (service truck provided).
