Job Description

Summary:
A Service Technician is responsible for repairing customer equipment in a timely and efficient manner to maximize uptime for the customer. This allows the Truck Service Department to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits utilizing computer-based software diagnostic programs and printed wiring schematics
  • Recondition, repair and/or replace parts
  • Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake systems, wheel bearings, electrical systems, and air systems
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair engine/driveling/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer=-based diagnostic problems.
Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Minimum one-year of retail truck service customer relations and/or customer service
  • Minimum one-year heavy-duty truck equipment and/or body shop technician management experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Experience with Procede or other heavy-duty truck DMS Truck Country® /
