Eaton, CO Job Details Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Basic math Forklift Quality inspection Blueprint reading Power tools Manufacturing Hand tools Full Job Description Job description: Harsh International, a leading manufacturer of livestock feed mixers and hydraulic hoists since 1948, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembly Technician to join our production team in Eaton, CO. The starting pay for this position is between $18 and $22 per hour , depending on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components for heavy equipment (Harsh feed mixers) Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Install large augers, sprockets, chains, bearings, and related components Use hand tools, power tools, and torque equipment to complete assemblies Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and components Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications Troubleshoot and resolve fit-up or assembly issues as they arise Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area Track inventory and ensure proper use of assembly components Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures Collaborate with team members to meet production goals Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 10-hour days
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds multiple times per day Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights when needed Mechanical aptitude and experience with assembly of equipment or machinery Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Safety-conscious mindset Previous experience assembling truck bodies, heavy equipment, or similar products is a plus Experience with hydraulic systems is a strong plus Welding experience is a strong plus This position offers competitive pay based on experience level.
