Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components on heavy equipment such as Letourneau, log loaders, and wheel loaders. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and HVAC system servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and diagnostic tools to accurately identify issues and execute precise repairs Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational requirements Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for accountability and future reference Assist in the assembly of new equipment or parts following manufacturer specifications to ensure proper functionality before deployment Skills Proven heavy equipment service technician experience with strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and industrial machinery Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with various hand tools and power tools confidently Experience with heavy diesel equipment Knowledge of OEM parts replacement procedures along with automotive diagnostics expertise for troubleshooting electrical issues Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Join us in keeping essential machinery running at peak performance!
