We operate and maintain a fleet of 200+ assets, with a strong focus on CAT equipment used in excavation, heavy civil, trucking, and earthmoving operations throughout the Wasatch Front. This position is ideal for a mechanic who can work independently in the field, troubleshoot efficiently, and keep equipment operating safely and reliably under demanding conditions. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in the field and at job sites Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on CAT and other heavy equipment Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, emissions, and aftertreatment systems Repair excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, haul trucks, water trucks, and support equipment Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime Use diagnostic software and electronic service tooling when needed Complete service documentation and communicate repair status with operations personnel Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and cleanliness Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures Qualifications 3+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred Strong knowledge of CAT equipment and diesel systems Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems independently Experience with diagnostic software such as CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, or similar is preferred CDL preferred or ability to obtain one Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company service truck Overtime opportunities Health benefits Paid time off and holidays Stable, year-round work Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding fleet and operation
