Job Description

For over 40 years Kukurin Contracting, Inc. has been a specialized utility contractor servicing Southwestern and Central Pennsylvania. Our areas of expertise include water and wastewater infrastructure development as well as bridge construction. Both locally and nationally we have earned a reputation for project successes in the Utility Construction Industry. With a team of over 100 highly skilled professionals we uphold the highest standards and deliver superior results while balancing many major projects simultaneously. Work Hours This is a full-time position. Hours will rotate between week one and week two.
Week One:
• Monday through
Thursday:
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. •
Friday:
7:00 a.m. to 12:00
Noon Week Two:
Monday through
Thursday:
7 am-5 Pm Essential Knowledge Ability to disassemble and reassemble large machines (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.). Experience with machine undercarriages. Experience with hydraulic and cylinder repair. Diagnose, repair, and rebuild on/off road vehicles and equipment. Order parts from approved sources; some computer skills required. Strong hydraulic knowledge of pumps, valves, cylinders and the computer interfaces. Electrical knowledge of vehicles and equipment. Welding and light fabrication experience a plus. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance. A Pennsylvania inspection license not required. Prepare maintenance records; light computer skills needed. Must have suitable tools; specialty tools are provided. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school or work at equipment dealers a plus but not mandatory. At least five (3) years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred. Able to read parts/service manuals; understand schematics. Able to work with other technicians to keep a safe and friendly environment. Must be a self-motivated individual wanting to progress. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen/physical; pre-employment criminal and employer background checks will be conducted. Current valid driver's license required, as well as reliable transportation to get to work. CDL endorsement a plus but not necessary. Essential Physical and Mental Capabilities Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching for extended periods of time.
