Heavy Equipment/Deisel Mechanic Americas Gold & Silver | Wallace, Idaho | Full-time | On-site Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, using hand tools, and performing electrical repairs. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently. Duties Maintain and repair heavy equipment, ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose mechanical issues. Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machinery components. Align machinery parts according to specifications to ensure proper function. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs and maintenance activities. Experience Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role is preferred. Familiarity with electrical systems in heavy machinery is a plus. Experience in underground mining is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. A one or two year diesel certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
