The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of diesel-powered vehicles, including tractor-trailers. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Work on hydraulic systems to ensure proper function and safety. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles. Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on heavy machinery. Requirements Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, specifically with diesel engines. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their components. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools required for mechanical repairs. Ability to perform welding tasks as needed for repairs. Experience working with tractor-trailer systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
