Veteran Wanted Responsibilities:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is entrusted with the upkeep and repair of our fleet equipment, which encompasses a range of machinery including wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, man lifts, and grinders. Adhering to stringent safety protocols, the mechanic performs both preventive maintenance and necessary repairs to ensure the continuous operation of our equipment.Reports To:
Operations Manager Key Duties:
Proficiently conduct services, diagnostics, and part replacements Possess and utilize personal tools effectively Maintain meticulous records of maintenance activities Demonstrate competence in utilizing and adapting to computer tracking software Uphold a clean and organized work environment Interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics proficiently Identify mechanical issues and devise effective solutions Possess knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, and John Deere parts and systems Collaborate effectively within a team environment Hold a valid and clean driver's license Engage in full-time employment with potential for overtime opportunitiesQualifications and Critical Skills:
ASE certifications are advantageous Ability to fulfill the physical demands of the role, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing Proficiency in driving trucks with manual transmissions Capability to work in diverse weather conditions Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Previous experience in CDL truck driving preferred Background in the waste industry is beneficial Completion of college, vocational, or technical training Prior experience in routine maintenance operations is essentialPhysical Demands and Environmental Factors:
