Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description Join our dynamic site work construction company, where you will be involved in commercial projects that include earthwork, parking lots, and commercial driveways. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for completing earth-moving site work and assisting with various labor tasks. You will work alongside general laborers who will handle tasks such as mixing and pouring concrete, spreading asphalt, carrying materials, and cleaning up job sites. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment for earth-moving tasks. Assist in general labor tasks including mixing and pouring concrete, spreading asphalt, and job site cleanup. Support operators and other team members on-site. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Adapt to various roles as needed, wearing many hats in the operation. Essential Skills Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track hoes, backhoes, dozers, and excavators. Experience with GPS and civil construction. At least 1+ year of construction experience. Comfortable working in all weather conditions, ranging from hot sunny days to colder fall/winter months. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanically inclined and skilled with power and hand tools. Prior experience in concrete, asphalt, landscaping, or carpentry is a plus. Able to work 10-12 hour days, with some weeks impacted by weather. Familiarity with using a tape measure. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alburtis, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
