Heavy Equipment Operator

The Midvale Irrigation District is currently seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator with minimum 3+ years experience to join their team. Excavator (regular and long boom), Dozer, Road Grader, Front End Loader, Backhoe, End Dump, Side Dump truck driver, CDL-A or B required. Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Daily inspection of assigned equipment, report any deficiencies. Safely and proficiently operate various types of heavy equipment, . Labor when called upon to do so. Moving and placing materials with equipment. Work as a team, maintain good working relationship with others. Adhere to Company Work Policies and Safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Perform physical activities like kneeling, crawling, jumping and lifting amongst others. Drive end dump, side dump and water trucks. At times, the ability to work alone with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Must have 3+ years experience operating heavy equipment, primarily excavators. Must pass onsite operator test. Physically able to climb in and out of equipment, lift 50 lbs, sit for long periods of time and work in all weather and environmental conditions including heat and cold. Must pass physical and drug testing. Valid CDL required
