Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver Lemmons Landscaping & Clearing, LLC Arley, AL 35541 $15

  • Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and SKILLED Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably also a skilled truck driver as well with clean CDLs to join our excavation team.
You will operate a variety of heavy machinery and commercial trucks to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will assist us with excavation, contributing to infrastructure development and site preparation. This position does not provide a benefit package. Will start off part-time, and depending on the relationship and your needs, hours can for sure change to full-time, pretty much as many hours as you want if you enjoy the environment. Prefer to have someone with many years of experience. Valid driver's license is a must with clean driving history. Job locations will vary, usually around Walker or Winston County area. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, and dump trucks with precision and safety. Drive commercial trucks including dump trucks and other specialized vehicles to transport materials and equipment across construction sites. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, material hauling to support project timelines. Follow all safety protocols and construction site procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and ensure smooth workflow on-site. Document operational activities, report any issues or repairs needed promptly. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, and dump trucks. Valid driver's license, preferably a CDL also, with a clean driving record. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic maintenance. Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods. Construction site experience preferred. Must be able to pass a drug test immediately and will have random drug screens. We will not tolerate any drug use.
