Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant educational community as a High School Mathematics Teacher, where your passion for mathematics and dedication to student success will inspire the next generation of thinkers and problem-solvers. In this dynamic role, you will deliver engaging lessons across a broad spectrum of mathematical topics, foster critical thinking, and support students in achieving their academic goals. Your expertise will help cultivate a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and academic excellence. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology to enhance student engagement. Teach a wide range of mathematical subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and related fields. Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and homework assignments; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to ensure cohesive educational experiences across grade levels. Offer tutoring sessions and academic advising to students needing additional support or mentorship in math or science disciplines. Incorporate research-based teaching methods and research laboratory experiences into lessons to foster scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance; prepare reports for school administration as required. Engage with parents and guardians through conferences to discuss student progress and address any concerns related to academic performance or behavior management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Proven classroom experience teaching high school mathematics with a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design. Expertise in core mathematical areas. Strong communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts and foster an engaging learning environment. Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital resources for instruction and assessment. Experience in standardized testing preparation, tutoring, mentoring, and academic advising is advantageous. Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
Pay:
$35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:
