Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School Science Teacher to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science among students. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons across various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse learning styles Deliver engaging lessons covering topics such as cell biology, genetics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math Utilize innovative learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student understanding and participation Conduct laboratory experiments, dissection activities, and scientific research projects to provide hands-on learning experiences Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages inquiry and collaboration Prepare students for standardized testing through targeted review sessions and tutoring support Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, projects, and examinations; provide constructive feedback Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and educational best practices Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on higher education pathways and career options in science Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents or guardians as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Science or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in science education are preferred Proven classroom experience teaching high school science subjects with a strong track record of student engagement and achievement Extensive knowledge of scientific disciplines including biology (cell biology, genetics, microbiology), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (including differential equations), and mathematics (algebra, geometry, calculus) Laboratory experience with dissection techniques, microbiology procedures, molecular biology methods, and research laboratory work Familiarity with curriculum development tools and instructional design methodologies Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to students of varying abilities Experience working with diverse learners, including those requiring special education accommodations or Montessori methods Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering a positive learning environment Proficiency with learning technology platforms and library services for research support Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through mentoring, research activities, or higher education teaching experience Join us in making a meaningful impact by inspiring the next generation of scientists!
