OK United States Description Position Summary:
Coyle is seeking a dynamic and student-centered High School Social Studies Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and building strong relationships with students. This position includes the opportunity for coaching responsibilities in one or more of the following programs: Baseball, Softball, Football, Cheer, and/or Track / Cross Country. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, civic engagement, and historical understanding in students while contributing positively to the school's athletic and extracurricular programs. Essential Job Functions - (Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary):
  • Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies instruction aligned with state standards (e.g., U.S. History, World History, Government, Geography, etc.)
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Incorporate primary sources, literacy strategies, and critical thinking into daily instruction
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress regularly and use data to guide instruction
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and expectations
  • Participate in professional development and collaborative team planning
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree required Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate Experience:
Teaching and technology experience -
Preferred Specific Training/Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, ability to build positive relationships with student and colleagues, and strong classroom management.
