EXEMPT Delone Catholic is committed to academic excellence, faith formation, and character development, and is seeking a dedicated and energetic Track & Field Coach. The ideal candidate will foster student-athletes' growth in skill, sportsmanship, teamwork, and spiritual development while upholding the values and mission of Catholic education. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices for track & field events (sprints, distance, jumps, throws, etc.) Develop training programs that promote skill development, conditioning, and injury prevention Provide instruction, feedback, and mentorship to student-athletes of varying ability levels Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect consistent with Catholic values Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and team events Coordinate meet schedules, transportation, and equipment needs with the Athletic Department Maintain communication with athletes, parents, and school administration Ensure compliance with school, league, and state athletic association policies Support the academic success and personal development of all athletes Qualifications Previous coaching or competitive experience in track & field (preferred) Knowledge of multiple track & field disciplines Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes Required clearances (background checks, child abuse clearances, etc.) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Attributes Experience working with high school students Ability to coach multiple events or coordinate event groups Willingness to collaborate with assistant coaches and athletic staff
