Under the direction of a Highway Maintenance Supervisor, this position operates a wide variety of highway equipment and tools while leading and working alongside a crew of Highway Maintenance Workers to perform maintenance and repair activities on a designated sub-section of state highway. This position supports roadway preservation and incident response efforts to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce, while providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to assigned crew members. This position supports WSDOT's strategic goals by providing maintenance necessary for the continued safe and reliable movement of people, goods, and services across the state.
