Reviews clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10 codes, CPT and HCPCs codes for billing and reimbursement, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory requirements. Accurately codes diagnosis and procedures as documented in the ICD-10 Official guidelines for Coding and Reporting. Abstracts data into the abstracting system. This position will be a certified coder in Training with the potential of advancing to Certified Coder I in 6 months after hire. This position reports to the Director of Health Information Management. Any medical coding Certification from AHIMA or
AAPC. ICD10CM/CPT/PCS
training • Knowledgeable regarding ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding principles, Course in medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology required Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office products Minimum of CPC-A or other coding certification status required. The pay grade assigned to this position is 220 0 ; the link provided shows the pay range.
