Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring safe and timely deliveries across designated routes Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, adhering to safety protocols Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks based on assignment, maintaining proper handling at all times Manage route driving efficiently, following all traffic laws and company policies to ensure on-time deliveries Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including commercial driving with tractor-trailers and route delivery Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles with a focus on safety and precision Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures, load securing techniques, and route planning Excellent driving skills with a clean safety record and understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Experience with delivery driver responsibilities such as customer service, documentation accuracy, and time management This role is perfect for drivers eager to maximize their earning potential while showcasing their expertise in various types of trucking operations.
