Are you compassionate and have a desire to help others? As a personal care aide at Sacopee Valley Personal Care Agency, you will have the opportunity to provide great quality and loving care to our clients and their families. Our goal is to offer services to promote independence, safety, and wellness. As a personal care aide your job will mainly consist of following the client's care plan and: Personal care, showering, grooming and toileting assistance. Assistance with transferring, ambulation, exercise while monitoring for safety. Assistance with meal preparation and encouraging hydration Light housekeeping. Medication reminders. Companionship and activities. Our aides empower others to be their best self and always support independence with dignity.

Starting pay:

$18 to $20 (depending on experience) paid weekly.

Educational requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, GED.

Physical requirements for this position:

Ability to lift and carry up to and including 50lbs. Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend over. Ability to squat. Ability to use hands/fingers for typing. Ability to climb stairs.

Other necessities include:

A valid driver's license. A reliable insured vehicle (You will be required to drive to client houses) Reliable phone and email. Be at least 18 years of age. A criminal background check will be processed for both the state of ME and NH.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday No weekends Experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide paid training.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

You will be traveling as a part of your job. We service primarily veterans in the area, most of them are nearing the end of their lives. If your client was to pass away, would you be able to move forward and begin care with another client? We know this one is hard/sad to think about, but it is the reality of this profession, we are just there to make the rest of their days as easy and enjoyable as possible.
