Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Home Care Aide, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and ensure safety and comfort in clients' homes or community settings. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment that fosters well-being and dignity for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and comfort. Monitor patients' health status by observing mental state, and overall well-being, reporting any concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to enhance quality of life. Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs for safe patient transfers; assist with mobility exercises as directed. Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and coordinate with healthcare professionals to update care plans. Requirements Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings; familiarity with long-term care environments is highly valued or take classes here in office as provided Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient privacy; ability to monitor vital signs and recognize signs of medical emergencies. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary; experience operating patient lifts like Hoyer lifts is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective patient observation and collaboration with healthcare teams; compassionate approach to caregiving. Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans; experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
