Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Home Health Aide (HHA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients receiving home and community-based care. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals recovering from illness. Your energetic and proactive approach will ensure patients receive safe, respectful, and comprehensive support in their daily routines. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in the comfort of patients' homes. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support medication administration following proper protocols and document all medical records accurately Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and dementia-specific activities Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, or hospice support as directed by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and medical guidelines Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to promote overall well-being Requirements Proven experience in home health care, long-term care, or nursing home environments preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required; additional certifications like medication administration or hospice care are a plus Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and instructions from healthcare providers Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is highly valued Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with patients, families, and healthcare teams Join us in delivering compassionate, professional home health services that empower individuals to live safely and comfortably at home.
