Responsibilities Construct, repair, and maintain fencing systems to ensure secure livestock enclosures using manual tools, power tools, welding equipment, and farm machinery. Handle livestock with care, including cattle and other farm animals, ensuring their health and well-being through proper animal husbandry practices. Operate agricultural tractors and heavy equipment safely to assist with land preparation, feeding, or transportation tasks. Perform routine maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting mechanical issues and conducting basic repairs or replacements. Assist with irrigation systems setup and management to optimize water use across fields or pastures. Support general farm operations such as feeding animals, cleaning facilities, managing manure disposal, and maintaining safety standards in production environments. Supervise or collaborate with team members on various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in farm work, agriculture, or livestock management with a strong understanding of animal husbandry practices. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts, or other farm equipment safely. Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair, welding techniques, and equipment maintenance is highly desirable. Experience with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production environments to ensure a safe working space for all team members. Supervising experience is advantageous for roles involving team coordination or training new staff. Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping related to livestock management and equipment maintenance.
