Located just northeast of Scottsdale, Tonto Verde boasts two 18-hole championship golf courses that have played host to numerous AGA State Championships and USGA Qualifiers. Qualified candidates for this Seasonal Assistant Professional position will seek to thrive in a customer service oriented atmosphere, provide memorable tournament experiences, drive sales and contribute to the Tonto Verde culture that our members/guests know and love. Experience Required PGA Class "A" or enrollment in the PGA Apprentice program is preferred but not required. Experience working at private clubs is also preferred. Essential Responsibilities Possess a fundamental knowledge and passion for the game of golf Coordinate day-to-day operations in the golf shop which include facilitating play on both courses, assisting members and guests, and spreading hospitality Manage tournament operations and weekly league events including planning, promoting, budgeting, billing, course set-up, staff assignments, scoring and prizes, results posting, etc. Proficient in the use of Windows (Microsoft), Apple (IOS) operating systems and Golf Genius Assist in achieving targets for retail revenues, merchandising and inventory management Provide club repair services for members and guests Develop and maintain a professional rapport with club members and co-workers Assist with the management of the Outside Service Staff to ensure the highest quality of service Teach and play golf with the members as time allows Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional Benefits Healthcare and PTO benefits after 90 days of full time employment 401K Playing and practicing privileges Complimentary employee lunches Staff uniforms for events Discounts on merchandise in the golf shop TrackMan Use
