Job Description

Overview The Raven Golf Club is seeking a service-driven Golf Shop Assistant to join our golf operations team. Working alongside the First Assistant Golf Professional and General Manager, this role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of a high-end mountain golf operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional club experience while supporting day-to-day golf shop operations. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who is service-driven, can perform well in a fast-moving golf shop environment, and is passionate about the game of golf. Essential Responsibilities Welcome and check in members and guests for daily play. Manage and maintain the tee sheet, including booking reservations and running daily tee sheet audits. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding tee times, club events, and golf shop services. Process golf rounds, merchandise, and other transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Assist members and guests with golf shop purchases and merchandise recommendations. Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service to members, guests, and the public. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked golf shop and display areas. Communicate effectively with outside services staff and other club departments to ensure a seamless golf experience for all members and guests. Enforce club policies and golf course rules in a courteous and professional manner. Assist with opening and closing golf shop procedures, including cash handling and counting. Stay informed on club events, promotions, and golf programs to effectively assist members and guests. Perform other golf shop and golf operations duties as assigned by the First Assistant Golf Professional or General Manager. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a high-volume golf operation preferred but not required. Prior experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or Golf Shop Attendant preferred but not required. Knowledge of golf shop point-of-sale systems preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and service industry skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Position requires both indoor and outdoor work in a seasonal golf environment. Ability to work extended periods standing for 5+ hours at a time. Expected Schedule Full-Time and Part-Time hours available Approximately 30-40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, tournament days, and occasional evening events.
